What 4-h projects are offered?The Clallam County Showstoppers 4-h Club is primarily a horse 4-h club but any project can be stewarded.
How do I get started?Getting started is simple. First enroll into Clallam County 4-h through the enrollment link. Then reach out to clallamshowstoppers4h@gmail.com and let the leaders know you have enrolled!
Why 4-h?Kids build life skills by leading hands-on projects in areas like science, health, agriculture and, civic engagement–helping them to grow confidence, independence, resilience and compassion. Adult mentors provide a positive environment where they learn by doing.
When and where are the monthly meetings?The Clallam County Showstoppers meet the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 6pm at Freedom Farms. This schedule occasionally varies.
Do I have to have a horse to do 4-h?No! There is a project called HORSELESS 4-h! And most of the Showstoppers members don’t own their own horses they are competing on, they are leasing them as their projects for the year.
Do I have to show horses in 4-h?No! There are many different activities, workdays, clinics and fundraisers that don’t involve showing horses.
