Sequim Riding Academy Level-Based Program
Our new level-based program is a multi faceted, immersive, educational experience broken down into four major curriculums, each having several levels to work through. SRA offers semi-annual LEVEL-UP AWARDS CEREMONIES where each student will be recognized for their achievements and will receive ribbons and certificates!
HORSESENSE LEVELS cover all of the unmounted skills in horse care, Vet Science and Barn Management.
HORSEMANSHIP LEVELS (WESTERN & ENGLISH) concentrate on the student’s ability in the saddle, culminating in a rider who is balanced, educated and confident, able to ride a trained horse with skill and empathy - with different objectives for English and Western Lessons
HORSECENTERED LEVELS teach groundwork and horse training skills with emphasis on horse psychology. These levels nurture the development of leadership, empathy and partnership.
SRA Show Team
Develop the skills needed to compete in the Show arena with your team! Show at local 4h and schooling shows or travel to more competitive shows around the state.
Showing horses is an exciting and rewarding way to take your hard work put in during lessons and to challenge yourself in a new environment, around new people and horses and receive feedback from a judge.
Showing horses doesn’t have to be done on horseback! If you want to get started with the ‘in-hand’ classes or if you would like to show a miniature horse, there are many opportunities for you too!
If you are looking for a low pressure, low stress and educational start to showing, check out 4-h! Sequim Riding Academy hosts many events for local 4-h clubs. In fact two of our instructors are also 4-h leaders to two different 4-h clubs!
